Glenelg Motel is only a 10 minute walk from a myriad of restaurants, boutique and craft shops, open 7 days a week on Jetty Road, which also has South Australia’s only operational tramway, running from Glenelg direct to the heart of Adelaide City. This is a short 25 minutes for the tramway, and is truly unique experience.

Relax on the Glenelg beach, only a 8 minute walk from the motel. Beautiful white sands and clean swimming waters. Enjoy hot chips or a Greek yiros for lunch on the beach, a great place for the whole family. Take a walk down the jetty (pier) and observe the beautiful coast from unique point of view.

Or treat the family to a day at the Beach House!

For those who enjoy a little night life, take a short walk to the Foreshore Pier (open 7 days) for a variety of Restaurants and Bars. Enjoy a Guinness with Oysters or delicious Malaysian Noodles… whatever takes your fancy, it is all available at Glenelg. A very popular destination is the Holdfast Shores Marina Pier for dining and entertainment.

5 minute drive to Harbour Town factory-direct shopping complex.

For the shop-a-holics in need of retail therapy the city is only minutes away, weekend markets are also within close range. Marion Shopping Centre which has a 30 cinema complex is only a 10 minute drive from the motel.

Sporting venues such as AAMI Stadium, Golf Courses, Morphettville Racecourse, the new SA Aquatic Centre, Adelaide Showgrounds, Glenelg Oval, Glenelg Baseball Diamonds and Bowling Greens are all within minutes of travelling.

The Motel is also very central to all major hospitals including Ashford, Flinders, Royal Adelaide, Queen Elizabeth and St. Andrew.
